The Festival returns for its 22nd year with a packed programme of open air events, recitals and concerts in our historic Norfolk market town.

The annual Town Busking Day kicks of proceedings on Saturday 27 May (11am-2pm). Then there is a series of Market Place Mornings, with live music on Saturdays 3, 10 and 24 June (11am-1pm).

Festival Fortnight follows from Saturday 1 July to Sunday 16 July.
There’ll be more live music in the Market Place on Saturday 1 July (11am-1pm), then Featherfest takes over, rocking The Feathers pub until 11pm.

The Festival’s largest event, the Jazz Picnic is at Becketswell on Monday 3 July (6.30pm-9pm) with Simon Nelson’s DixieMix, and the popular Teddy Bear’s Picnic for the under 5s will be at King’s Head Meadow on Sunday 9 July (11am-1pm).

The Vagaband’s brand of indie roots rock is at The Regal (Ex Servicemen’s Club) on Sunday 2 July (evening). The Regal is also hosting a blues night with Robin Bibi and The Shunters on Thursday 13 July (8pm). Arcelia bring their beautiful soulful folk to Central Hall on Friday 7 July (8pm).

Wymondham Abbey has a busy programme of concerts and recitals featuring Wymondham Symphony Orchestra’s Summer Concert, Saturday 1 July (7.30pm), Lucy Thalange, Norfolk Young Musician 2017, Tuesday 4 July (1pm) Rachel Groves, harpist, Wednesday 5 July (5.30pm), Jazz at The Abbey, Jo Fooks Quartet, Thursday 6 July (7.30pm), Wymondham Youth Orchestra Summer Concert, Saturday 8 July (7.30pm), Young Musicians’ Concert, Monday 10 July (7pm), Alice Godfrey & Rob Goodrich, Trumpet and Organ Recital, Tuesday 11 July (5.30pm), Luca Luciano in Concert, Wednesday 12 July (7.30pm), and Wymondham Choral Society Summer Concert, Saturday 15 July (7.30pm).

The annual Music Lecture & Recital on Tuesday 4 July (7.30pm), at Wymondham Baptist Church, features guitarist and luthier Peter Turrell. Other highlights are Massimo Radaelli Brown’s harpsichord recital at the Baptist Church on Sunday 9 July (7.30pm), an open-air ceilidh in the Market Place on Saturday 15 July (11am-1pm), with Happy Feet Ceilidh Band and the family concert with The He Hews, which rounds off Festival Fornight at the Baptist Church on Sunday 16 July (3pm).
