Details for this year´s event are still to be published but to give a flavour of what to expect below are the details of what took place last year:-
Join us for a trip down memory lane, we roll the clock back to the 1940s Wartime era, with a display of vintage war time vehicles at Dereham and other stations. Steam services operate throughout the weekend, and there will be themed events along the line, giving the railway a period feel from the era, and will include most of our smaller stations.
Dereham will be the allied forces base for the weekend, where there will be a military vehicle display and stands selling period memorabilia. There will be British and American living history displays, as well as a Blitz Experience.
Each day, at approx. 2.30pm each day, there will be a war re-enactment.
Station Buffet will be open selling period refreshments and snacks.
The French Resistance will be protecting the station from any unwelcome german forces. The Yaxham Light Railway will be open giving you the chance to drive a Wartime locomotive for a fiver.
You can also see the on going restoration of 1944 wartime built Hunslet 3193 which served both British and American forces during its war service.
Under repair following Bomb Damage, and you can change trains here if necessary.
Hardingham Station is occupied by the German Forces, with a living museum, stands and displays that you are free to walk around. There will also be German & Austrian snacks for sale.
Please note, this is a private site, only accessible by train.
Wymondham Abbey Station
Wymondham Abbey Station will be protected by the brave boys of the RAF, with displays from the 1940s, there will be a living history camp with displays and refreshments in the field next to Wymondham Abbey Station. You can also visit the historic Wymondham Abbey, who will be providing various 1940s themed events and the historic market town, which are both a short walk from the station.

On Saturday Evening, a Very Special 1940s Dance Party will be hosted by the Railway featuring live music with the 18 piece Pavilion Big Band at the Dereham Memorial Hall from 7.30pm until late, with a Special Late night train service provided from Wymondham Abbey & Local Villages to Dereham leaving Wymondham Abbey at 1845 and Returning from Dereham at 2330 calling at all stations (by request).
Tickets cost £15 to the Dance & a Special Evening Return fare of £6, payable on the train (or free with a Day Rover Ticket for 6/8/16).
