A caravan holiday is a fun and affordable way to get away from it all as a family. Norfolk is so well served by caravan sites and holiday parks that it’s easy to tailor your caravan holiday to suit you. Whether you’re looking for a seaside break or a woodland retreat, an active holiday or a relaxing weekend by the pool, there’s a site for you. If you’re looking to plan a Norfolk holiday this year, here’s a taste of just some of the caravan sites on offer around the county, from the glorious coastline to the Norfolk Broads.

If you’re looking to explore the renowned Norfolk coastline, the Park Resorts California Cliffs site is an ideal base – just a 5 minute walk from the beach! You’ll find a range of spacious static caravans to choose from to suit all budgets as well as touring caravan pitches. The seaside town of Great Yarmouth is an easy 15 minute drive away, while the park itself offers lots of activities to keep the whole family entertained. Kids can enjoy flumes, an indoor and outdoor pool, snorkelling, pool kayaks, adventure playgrounds, fun workshops and more. There is a restaurant and bar onsite as well as a good old fashioned fish and chip shop. And if you plan to make it a regular holiday destination, Park Resorts currently have cheap caravans for sale here from £8,995.

The Sandringham Estate

For those who plan to visit the royal family’s Sandringham home, this touring caravan site is located right at the heart of the Royal Estate itself. The vast estate has room for 136 pitches, with woodland walking trails, designated dog walks, land train rides, an adventure playground, tea room, gift shop and Royal Garden flower stall all on site. The caravan site is open all year round, but Sandringham House, Museum and grounds close between the end of July and beginning of August to allow the Queen to enjoy her annual holiday here. You can check the latest estate opening dates and details of the current Museum exhibitions at the Sandringham Estate website here. From Sandringham you are also just 6 miles away from the historic town of Kings Lynn, with easy access to the beaches and Sea Life Centre of the nearby seaside town of Hunstanton.

The Norfolk Broads

England’s largest protected wetland, the Broads is an area of outstanding natural beauty, with over 125 miles of safe waterways to explore. The seven navigable rivers that make up the Broads; the Yare, Bure, Waveney, Chet, Ant, Thurne and Wensum, provide visitors with watersports activities, riverside walks and wildlife galore.

The Waveney River Centre is a multi-award winning holiday park and marina that offers electric hook-up touring caravan pitches as well as tent pitches and self-catering lodges for hire. Touring pitches overlook the beautiful Waveney Valley, the marina and the river itself. This eco-conscious site has received the David Bellamy Gold Conservation award and provides lots of fun ways to explore the Broads as a family, from canoeing and kayaking to river tours and self-drive day cruisers.
