Norfolk Announces its Annual Food Celebration
Organisers of the 2011 EDP Bidwells Norfolk Food Festival have officially announced the dates of their month-long food extravaganza.
This year’s event will see hundreds of tastings, tours, demonstrations, debates and family activities taking place between Saturday 3rd September and Sunday 2nd October.

Already confirmed within the line-up are the ever-popular Moveable Feast (with 600 diners able to taste the fine fare on offer at three different city restaurants in one evening), the Battle of the Bangers (a head-to-head for Norfolk sausage producers) and a spectacular food fare of dozens of exhibitors within the heart of Norwich.
The Festival will this year include five specific weekends of food indulgence, covering the length and breadth of the beautiful East Anglian county.
These are to be:
3rd & 4th September – North Norfolk Food Festival (taking in the delights of Holkham and beyond)
10th & 11th September – Central Norwich Food Celebration (including a food fare, demonstrations, Battle of the Bangers and dozens of family-friendly events)
17th & 18th September – Activities in the heart of Norfolk’s beautiful Brecks and West area
24th & 25th September – Celebrating Produced in Norfolk, with farmers’ markets and much more
1st &2nd October – Aylsham Food Festival
Richard Woolliams, Chair of the Festival Committee, said: “I am delighted to be announcing the dates of the 2011 EDP Bidwells Norfolk Food Festival.
“We’ve gone from a handful of events when we started six years to more than a thousand events, promotions and offers in 2010. Our ambition now is to turn this into a destination festival where more and more people can get to enjoy all that Norfolk has to offer.”
A number of celebrity chefs and high profile food brands will feature within this great Norfolk event. Details are to be announced in the coming weeks.
