Watch out for more exciting events at the Mid-Norfolk Railway, Norfolk´s Heritage Railway of 2013, during the next month or so.

This coming weekend sees the first of the Poppy Line´s Murder Mystery Evenings, this one with a 1960s/1970s theme. Two round trips of the line are made aboard the North Norfolkman Dining Train. Period dress is not compulsory, but it does help add atmosphere to the evening.

At Holkham Hall, starting on 6th September for one week, there is a fascinating exhibition of photographs, entitled A Glympse of Empire, taken by Lilah Wingfield. It records her childhood at Holkham Hall and her visit to India for the Royal Durbar in 1911 at a time when Britain was a country unknowingly on the brink of a war that was to change society for ever..

The Norfolk Food and Drink Festival, the largest event of its kind in the UK, continues this week. The festival promotes hundreds of events all over the County right through to Sunday 12th October.

Dalegate Market´s pop up shops for independent retailers will be giving customers much more interesting offers than the usual high street shops.
